On first November we celebrated All Saints Day. We didn´t have school and some of us ate “saints´ bones” (they are made with marzipan).
When we went to the yard to look for animals we caught “our friend” red handed eating our cabbages!!
On 18th November we were invited by a nearby school to celebrate “ El magüestu” a traditional party when we eat roasted chestnuts and drink sweet cider. We were wearing a funny hat that is typical from our region ( the real one is made of woolen cloth but ours was made with cardboard
This year we played traditional sports.
And afterwards we enjoyed lunch toguether: red sausage rolls , Spanish omelette , cider and chestnuts :-)

Roasted chestnuts or cooked ones are popular autumn dish in Slovenia as well. They go well with new must or cider.
Very interesting post, Gloria. All your food looked delicious. Today the sun melted the fog in Ljubljana for the first time in a month. It was still cold but beautiful to enjoy in blue skies :)
Love to everybody!
I like the activities and I have to say that I wish I would like to be with you especially eating parts :)
I can tell you had a wonderful month. And the pupils in the last photo are really happy and content :)
