The View from Our Window

THE SKY:

It is almost sunny but we are not sure It can rain again.

THE TEMPERATURE:

13 degrees Celsius

WIND:

The wind is blowing from the South.We feel the gentle wind of sea.

ANIMALS:

We have seen small insects undet the cover of the tress  and snails  are around too.

PLANTS:

Grass is green and also most of the trees are green.The trees have almost left their leaves .The orange and lemon  have fruits on them.The ground is partly wet.It is rainy at night andI t is sunny during the day.

CLOTHES:

Trousers,sometimes long sleeved-shirts ,tights,sweaters,coats,especially raincots,boots ,

jumpers and jeans.

GAMES:

Playing outside in the playground at the breaks,playing marbles on the ground is the stil the most favourite activity,running and playing football,skipping rope,hide and seek are the other games that the students prefer.

FAMILY ACTIVITIES:

Going outside for walking ,family visitings

The students play outside during the day and when It is time to go home,they all spend their time at home.It is not easy to go out in the evening beacuse of the rain.Having chat with the family members,Watching film while eating popcorns.

HOLIDAYS:

There is the month that the students wish to have,I think.We have half term holiday in this month.It is a long holiday,15 days.WE are going to have this holiday between 26th of January and 6th of February.The students are going to evaluate themselves and the term by looking at the Marks that they have during the term.Some of the students are going to be happy beacuse of good Marks and some others will be unhappy to see the bad Marks.But It is absolutely true that they are going to have free 15 days.

January weather report from Spain

DATE and TIME: January 24th, half past eleven.

THE SKY: cloudy.

TEMPERATURE: 7 degrees Celsius- 44.6 Farenheit

WIND: light wind from the east.

ANIMALS: bugs and earthworms. Birds and a man walking a dog.

PLANTS: The grass is green, some trees have lost all the leaves. The Mimosa tree has got blossons . In our kitchen garden we can already see tiny pea and broad bean plants!!

CLOTHES: Winter clothes, coats, hats, gloves, scarfs.

GAMES: Those in which we have to run because it´s cold!!

FAMILY ACTIVITIES: watch tv, visit relatives, go for walks......

HOLIDAYS: the night of the 5th of January the Three Wise Men gave us all presents.

January report from Croatia

CROATIA REPORT - DECEMBER

DATE and TIME:

25th of January at 12.30 p.m.

Today is a cold and windy winter day.

THE SKY:

blue, cloudy, sunny

TEMRERATURE:

3˚C/40˚F

WIND:

heavy north

It is very windy.

ANIMALS

We can see the mole hills, but the moles are hibernating. There are no bugs or ants. We play with our pets. There are crow nests and crows around the school.

 PLANTS

The grass is yellow and green and the earth is soft and moist. The trees are bare. The shrubs and the tree tops are bare. In the morning it is cold, and sometimes there is ice on the road. The needles of the pines are green. The flowers in our garden lost a bit of their colour and are dry.

CLOTHES

People wear long sleeves and shirts or pullovers, warm jackets, socks, jeans or trousers. If you go outside you must wear a cap, scarf, gloves or mittens and warm boots or shoes. Today we had to protect our heads, face and ears from wind.

GAMES:

We played dodgeball outside, we jumped with the ropes, we threw frisbies. Inside, we play computer games, bord games or with our friends.

The rules of dodgeball: You must hit the opponent with a ball. If the opponent catches the ball he/she takes the ball and can hit you. However, if someone drops the ball or is hit, they go outside the field and help the main player eliminate all the other players. When everyone is eliminated, two main players play against each other to win and other players help them from outside the field.

FAMILY ACTIVITIES:

Board games, cards, walking, going to the cinema or to ice-shows and ice-skating.

SPECIAL DAYS AND ACTIVITIES

·                     On 1^st Jan we celebrated the New Year.

·                     On 8^th Jan we celebrated the Three Kings. On that day everyone takes the ornaments from the Christmas tree down and all the other decorations around the house.

·                     On 16^th Jan we started the second term in school.

Some birds were flying but high up in the sky so we couldn’t identify them

PLANTS

The grass is brown and wet . We have had some snow but unfortunately this week the temperature raised and the snow melted. Too bad because we are great fans of it!

CLOTHES

Typical winter clothes- sweaters, caps, gloves, scarves, heavy winter jackets

GAMES:

We went for a walk through our village and we also went to the park. The children had a great time playing and running in the park.

FAMILY ACTIVITIES:

There are carnival parties for children and we had such carnival at our school last Saturday.

OTHER

Today we went for a walk in our village. We had so much fun and we visited important places in Buczek, such as the fire department, post office, commune office and our Gothic church.

A dog is sleeping in the playground. We noticed pigeons, too.

PLANTS:
Trees without leaves.

CLOTHES:
Heavy jackets, caps, scarves and gloves to keep us warm.

GAMES:
Children play indoors because outside is too cold.

FAMILY ACTIVITIES:
Skiing or sledging in the mountains or going to the skating ring in Bucharest

HOLIDAYS:
Half of January we stayed at home because it was winter holiday.The first day we returned to kindergarten was the 16th of January so HAPPY NEW YEAR FOR EVERYBODY!

active games because of the cold outside

January Report from Jaworzno, Poland

                                                          Finally... Winter and snow )))

                                           The temperature is about -5 C, there is snow everywhere,
                                           there is no wind but also no sun...  However, finally winter

THE SKY:

TEMPERATURE:

WIND:
The wind was blowing hard enough to redden our cheeks and noses!

ANIMALS:
We did not see any animals - not even a bird.

PLANTS:
The trees have no leaves, and everything is covered with SNOW! Finally! We only have about 6 inches (15.2 cm) of snow, but it is enough to play in. At the end of our school day it started to hail. Some of us had never seen hail before. It was very small hail and it bounced high off the ground. It was thundering too, and the sky was very dark. The weather forecast is for rain tonight, and that will spoil our snow. We really hope the weather forecast is wrong, but we will let you know.

CLOTHES:
Long sleeves, sweaters, long pants, snow pants, boots, mittens, heavy jackets, hats, gloves, scarves, ear muffs.

GAMES:
Playing in the snow, making snow forts and snow people.

FAMILY ACTIVITIES:
Sitting near the fire and having hot chocolate. If we have enough snow -  sledding; making snowmen; skiing.

1 January is New Year's Day
