DATE AND TIME
26 October 2011 at 10:30AM

TEMPERATURE
54F/12C

WIND
light breeze - 7mph

PLANTS
Leaves on the trees have  changed colors. Some trees have no leaves. Apples are ripe, and we saw small crab apples.

CLOTHES
long sleeves, long pants, shoes or sneakers, jackets, sweatshirts

ANIMALS
We did not see any animals or bugs.

FAMILY ACTIVITIES
bike riding, walking outside, playing ball, apple picking

HOLIDAY
Halloween - we can't wait! It's 31 October, and we go Trick or Treating! People have parties, and we get lots of candy. At school we are going to have a Spooky Food snack of frozen eyeballs and ants on a log!

This picture is the back of our school, in our playground. Our windows look out to a parking lot, so we know this picture is more interesting. You can see our school's garden on the left, and we have a nature trail behind those big trees.

Hello to the Starfish!

It's just soooo American .... your view. Even the sky looks so wide, he he ... and the buildings are so totaly different from European. But the trees are quite the same :)

Our school building is considered "old" by American standards! We don't have many of the beautiful, truly older buildings that you have in Europe. The white buildings are portable classrooms, because we ran out of space. There are 2 second grades in there, and a Music Room. We love our wide open space, although Maine can be very cozy with lots of trees.
