March activities from Greece







We created "Tsarouchi", the traditional greek shoe, known as a part of the traditional greek uniform

March weather report from Greece

FINALLY... SPRING CAME TO GREECE !!!!!

Some pigeons in our schoolyard and a fat brown cat

Leaves of plants and trees are beggining to become green

GAMES
Last days we are lucky because of the good weather, and we can play outside

HOLIDAYS
On 25th of March we celebrated our National Day (The Greek Independence), also known as thw Greek Revolution. It was a successful war of independence waged by the Greek revolutioners between 1821 and 1832. Every year this day, children don't go to school and celebrate it with songs, poems and parades.

March activities in Spain



Spring is here. There are flowers everywhere.








In this picture class 5 is sitting next to the vegetable garden. We have planted peas, broad beans, potatoes, strawberries, onions and cabbages.

















Here we are with hazelnut trees in our small "forest". They alredy have tiny leaves.






The birds are building their nests.

CROATIA REPORT – MARCH


 DATE and TIME:
21st of March at 12.30 p.m.
Today is a warm, sunny spring day.
THE SKY:
blue, clear

TEMRERATURE:
18˚C/64˚F

WIND:
There is a light breeze in the air.

ANIMALS
The animals are waking from the hibernation. We can see some bugs and a lot of birds. We play with our pets and go for walks.

PLANTS
Plants are also waking and everything is going to blossom. The flowers in the garden and colourful. The trees are growing new leaves but we can't see it yet.

CLOTHES
People can wear T-shirts and sweatshirts, light jackets and sneakers. Everyone is happy to wear light clothes again. Still we have to put on our jackets early in the morning and late in the evening.

GAMES:
We played games outside: music chairs, catch me if you can, sticky hands. Besides that, we had workshops where we created crafts and art of clay, play dough and paper.

FAMILY ACTIVITIES:
Going for a walk in the park or in the town. Working in the garden. Playing games outside.
SPECIAL DAYS AND ACTIVITIES
·                     21st March – First day of spring – we welcomed spring by a school performance and games outside.
·                     22nd March – World Water Day – we learned about the water and how to save it for future generations
·                     28th March – Some of us visited the Nursing home and made the elderly people happy with our perdformances.
·                     30th March – Easter fair in our school where we showed our Easter eggs anda rt and sold it to raise money for the charity.

CROATIA – MARCH ACTIVITIES

March brought us the lovely weather and SPRING!
At the beginning of the month, the days were short and the night would come quickly. This photo was taken on 7th March in the evening in front of our  school when the moon was very big.
When we switched back on Daylight Savings Time, we had longer days.

Our teacher Tea was preparing for the annual eTwinning conference in Berlin so we helped prepare some of the posters and artwork for the exhibition there.




 Besides that, we learned English and played games on interactive whiteboard that we love so much.

On 22nd March we celebrated the World Waters Day and we made a display of important things about water.

Other activities in March involved spring and creating lovely Easter products for sale on Easter fair. This fair is held every year to raise money for the charity.
  
On the first day of spring we had „Greeting to the spring“ performance in the school garden and then we did workshops and played games. Here are some photos of what we did:




March weather report, Spain



DATE and TIME: March 27th, 12.30pm

THE SKY: It´s sunny, no clouds in the sky.

TEMPERATURE: 20C- 68F

WIND: No wind.

ANIMALS: Insects, birds and a horse

PLANTS: Our vegetables grow and grow. Some trees have got small new leaves and there are already flowers everywhere.

CLOTHES: T-shirts, shorts, skirts, dresses. Jackets early in the morning and in the evening.

GAMES: All kind of ball games and outdoor activities: skipping, elastics, digging and looking for insects.

FAMILY ACTIVITIES: Going for walks, cooking, fishing trouts and other fish, helping our families planting potatoes, onions....

HOLIDAYS:
We start our Easter holiday on March 30th and we go back to school on April 10th.
On March 19th we celebrated Father´s day but we had lessons! :-(

**March report from Buczek, Poland**


DATE and TIME:

20th March at 12:10 p.m.(as usual)

THE SKY:
Partly sunny

TEMRERATURE:
4˚C/39,2˚F

WIND:
Medium strength wind- swings the tree branches

ANIMALS
We saw some ladybirds and spiders unfortunately some of the photos we took were not clear so we will only add a photo with a ladybird. By the way she was 2 years old!

PLANTS
The ground is gray and dry. Animals start to appear (spiders & ladybirds), the wild ducks came back to Poland 2 weeks ago, we are still waiting for the storks- the symbol of Poland!
CLOTHES
The previous weekend was amazing! There was +19*C such a dimensional change that most of us changed clothes for lighter. Caps/ hats started to appear, winter scarves have been replaced by summer scarves.

GAMES:
Cycling, rollerblading, playing football outside, walking.

FAMILY ACTIVITIES:
Planting seeds, flowers, spring cleaning

ASSOCIATIONS to today’s weather:
The wind is blowing, the sun is shining, the people are more active, the life is more interesting…

OTHER
We got a nice present from Plamena, Bulgaria. Her children made white & red (our flag colours) martinisies for my students. Thank you so much! We also made marinisies and sent them last week. Hope you’ll like them!

Greeting the spring in Croatia

On first day of spring, we had a school performance and greeted the spring. We sang songs, read essays and poems, enjoyed a couple of short plays and afterwards had workshops and games outside in the sun. Welcome spring!

March Weather Report From Romania


DATA and TIME:

THE SKY:

ANIMALS:
We could see some sparrows and a dog

PLANTS
The trees and the shrubs are still bare. In the gardens, there are snowdrops.

CLOTHES
                    People wear sweaters, trousers, hats, jackets or coats and even scarves, because in the morning it is cold.

GAMES:
                        On sunny days we go out to play with a ball, jumping , go on the slide and of course chasing each other.

FAMILY ACTIVITIES:
Most of snow is melted so people started cleaning  their gardens.

HOLIDAYS 
On the 1st of March we celebrate "Martisorul ''. It is a traditional holiday to celebrate the beginning of the spring. On this day all girls and women receive small amulets from the boys, men ,  husbands to bring them health and happiness. Children usually make these amulets called "martisoare" to give them to their mothers, sisters or grandmothers.Women wear them as brochures on their blouses or coats between the 1-st and the 8-th of March.
On the 8-th of March we celebrate Mother's Day. Children make cards for their mothers to show their  love and learn poems and songs about mothers. Husbands usually give flowers and presents for their wives.
On the 9th of March we celebrate "Mucenicii". It is like Men's Day, because men meet to the restaurant and drink 40 glasses of wine.(each one for a saint who is not celebrate around the year). When they return home , eat "mucenici" that means sweet home-bread with honey, cinnamon and lots of nuts.

February Weather Report from Romania

DATE and TIME:
15th of February at 11.30 p.m.
Today is a freezing cold and fluffy- snowy winter day.
THE SKY:
grey, cloudy
TEMRERATURE:
-10.3 degrees Celsius
WIND:
It is not windy.
ANIMALS
We can notice only crows.
PLANTS
Plants are covered with snow. The trees are bare.
CLOTHES
   Children wear long sleeves and shirts or pullovers, warm jackets, socks, jeans or trousers, caps, scarves, gloves or mittens and warm boots . Most of kids also wear ski suits to be extra warm.
GAMES:
We played games in the snow: angles in the snow, snowball fights or making a snowman.
FAMILY ACTIVITIES:
Go sledging in the park, go skating or having fun indoors if the temperature is very low.
SPECIAL DAYS AND ACTIVITIES
·      On 24-th of February we celebrate Dragobetele , which is the equivalent of St. Valentine's Day. We don't send cards each other, but grown -ups give presents each other to show their love
        
      Because of bad weather conditions ( freezing rain , too much snow and very low temperatures) the schools and kindergarten were closed and we had to stay at home for 3 days

It was sunny and warm (up to 19 degrees Celsius) all week long and we've already forgotten about snow .... Football is #1 again :)
