November activities in Croatia

Today we commemorate the victims in Vukovar, during the war in Croatia for independence (1991-1995). In all the towns of Croatia people light the candles in Vukovarska streets to honour the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. We also lit the candles in front of our school.

Wars shouldn't be happening in these times .... We, Slovenes, were sooo lucky to get our independance after "only" 10 days of war with few victims ... even those too much!!! We feel with your nation, Tea.

Love, peace, feedom to all!

Ever since (our) Polish Pope John Paul II has died in Poland people living on the streets/ roads named after JPII lit candles along the roads on the 2 April.
Same as Nelly said: love, peace, freedom to all!!!

Yes, I agree. In my part of the country (north) war wasn't so much "present" either, but when I look at the past, only 20 years ago, people struggling - a feeling of respect and compassion comes by and that's why I think it is important to honour the brave people. Our report will be finished this week, sorry for the delay :)
