On 24th of March an enviromental project for cleaner Slovenia was organised and more than 270.000 volunteers participated in cleaning of towns, villages, woods, rivers, the sea .... Pupils of our school joined the project as well and we cleaned our school surroundings.
In front of our classroom /beside our windows/ in the school yard also 3 young trees (2 tulip trees and 1 maple) were planted to offer some shadow in few years time, so our classrooms, which face South and are usually unbearable hot during spring and summer, will be cooler without using air conditioning.
So don't be surprised because from now on the view from our window will be different :)

Planting trees in front of your window to keep cool was a good idea! Our windows face south too, and our classroom gets very hot in the summer. We wish we could plant trees in front too, but we have a parking lot in front. It will be exciting to watch your trees grow.
